Only a quarter mile from Stonsdorf (Staniszowa), where a pleasant, easy road leads, stands a small castle resembling the perfect medieval burgs, on a hill covered with a grove (...). On Grodna Hill (506 m above sea level), a 30-minute walk from Lake Hill Resort & Spa, Prince Heinrich LXII von Reuss commissioned the construction of the castle in 1806 on the highest elevation of the Łomnickie Hills.
The panoramic views of the Karkonosze Mountains take everyone's breath away. The scenic qualities of this place were appreciated by the owner of the estate in Staniszów, who established a viewpoint at the very top in 1806. In this state, Duchess Izabela Czartoryska visited Grodna in 1816, describing the castle in her memoirs. The Castle of Prince Heinrich is just across from Lake Hill Resort & Spa.
